The 404 page for bigleaf.net needed a functionality upgrade after I made some design updates to the main blog. The priority from me was to make sure users had links and the ability to search for what they were looking for, just in case they ended up on this page. Once I completed that, I also wanted to make the page a fun easter egg. Below is a gif showing the movement of network nodules I created via CSS. There’s several different interactions, such as running away from the mouse, the circles becoming larger when clicked, and more.
